A Double-Dog Dare for those that are challenged by their little girl's hair!!

I have been at a loss as to what to do with my dd's hair. She's almost 2 and has very fine shoulder-length hair. My only ideas up to date have been to put one pigtail right on top or 2 on the side with the back loose.

I'm sure there are other mommies like me out there that look at their daughter's head and just feel baffled!

So.... I'm posing a challenge. Get your creative juices flowing! For one week, try a different hairstyle on your girl each day, and post pics daily of what you come up with! Whether it looks fantastic, or it's a total flop, let's see what you can do!

I'll start today, but before I do, here's a pic to make you giggle ... my dd with some major bedhead! She rolled out of bed like this a few weeks ago:

I'll be back a little later with a pic of our first "new" do!

ETA: Added helpful links. Feel free to suggest new ones, and I'll add them!

General Tips:
*Use a rat-tail comb to get a straight part
*Use fingernail clippers to snip tiny elastics out
*You can also get the elastics out easily in the bath - put conditioner in the hair and in a few minutes, they'll slide right out
*Watch out for shampoos containing sodium laureth sulfate; it can cause or worsen dry skin (kiss my face products don't contain it)
*A tiny bit of hair gel helps contain fly-aways
*Little elastics can be found at the dollar store
*Distractionary items are our friend (shows, toys, things she can put together) while we're doing hair

:bliss: Karrie, your dd is really sweet.

I'm so glad you're going to play!!

Here's Monday's do on Emily. Four mini-buns. I started with 4 pigtails and just wrapped them around themselves and secured them with tiny butterfly clips.

DD is going to be one on Thursday so not too much hair yet.

With bows and without.

Mary - WOW! That's like at least 4 times as much hair as my 13 mo old DS has! AND at least twice as much hair as my DD had at one year! lol!

Cute baby girls!

Love the 4 little mini buns! Do you think those will come out pretty easily since they are only secured with the little clip? Not being snarky, just thinking of the same 'do on my DD - it would last all of 10 mins, maybe.

I made ponytails first with the tiny elastics, then wrapped and clipped with the little butterfly clips. So far they've stayed in perfectly through a diaper change and playtime.

I put a tiny bit of hairgel in the ponytails before I wrapped them too to make them stay better.
