Sizing: Stacinator Stretch Day/Night

Hi everyone!

Anyone use Stacinator Stretch, the new thicker day/night? What have you found as far as sizing. I just bought a large, but I'm thinking I need to exchange for a medium. Gabrielle is 19.6 lbs, has thighs around 12", waist about 17" (without a cloth diaper on), and rise about 16/17". She's about 29 inches tall I think.

How much shrinking will happen if I wash? She's on the tightest snap setting right now with a prefold on.

Also, she wears a medium Fuzzi Bunz (with a JB only there is one snap showing at the thighs and no snaps showing in the waist)

Thanks!

Theda and Gabrielle (11 months, 6 days old)

I think you'll definately be better exchanging for a medium. My DD is almost the same age, but a bit more of a chunky monkey  (My DD is 11 mo & 8 days and weighs about 24 lbs, I usually can buy her medium or large CDs, depending on the rise. Her rise is about 17").

We started with a large Day/Night stretch wool Stat & it was HUGE!! Since you are hand washing wool & letting it air dry, it shouldn't shrink much at all. I ended up sizing down to a medium & it fits DD sooooo much better!!! She's even on the 2nd to smallest setting on the mediums & I haven't noticed any shrinking.

HTH!

Thanks! Anyone else? Maybe I can purposely shrink the cover? I guess maybe that's not a good idea for such an expensive item.

My 25 m/o is near 30 lbs and he still wears a medium.

You can shrink it, but that will cause it to also felt- jsyk.
