Where can I buy warm baby socks?

I hate putting my munchkin in cheap cotton socks all winter. We don't wear them because they aren't warm enough - we wear fleece or cozy knit socks. Any idea where I could get some toasty warm socks for him? He hates shoes so things like Robeez and booties aren't an option. I would love a little fleece-lined sock or something even cozier with a plush like fabric... just something to keep little tootsies warm in winter! Any WAHMs or Hyena stores I should check out?

The ones ds has on in my avatar are from a family friend who knits and they are a wool blend. I love them. They are so warm.

If I could knit at all, I'd love to help you out. I am pretty sure there are some knitters on here somewhere. Sorry that didn't help much eh?:giggle:

I bought DD some white socks with double thick grey bottoms at WalMart. Sorry I don't remember the brand, but it was just a month or so ago, so they should still be available. They're much heavier than the cheapo baby socks you usually find (in fact, we had to go up a shoe size to use them out of the house). Not sure it they're as thick as you're looking for though.

SmartWool makes some wool socks for babies and kids. You could check with your local outdoor/sporting goods stores to see if they carry them. I found mine locally. They actually are even making 12-18mo and 18-24 mo sizes this year. You could check on Amazon.com too since they have everything. I only wear wool socks in the winter so I want the same for my kiddos.

I guess he won't wear slippers either? I got dd a couple of great pairs at Target for like 5 or 6 bucks. I went to buy the next size the other day, though, and I think mine stopped carrying them for the season. DD rips her socks off so that was the way to go for us. She can't/doesn't try to take the slippers off.

I got some thick cotton socks from Kohls too, I think the brand was Sonoma? They don't fall off like some of the others I have, but I know exactly what you mean about the silly socks, I looked all over before I found these and they are made much like mine are. :giggle:

I bought DS some thick terry socks at Walmart a few months ago. They're in a 6 pck. Don't recall the brand, sorry.
For inside the house both of my kids wear those slipper socks http://www.onestepahead.com/product/...89755/117.html
