Re: travel vs stand up swings?
When they first came out I got a travel one for DS1. He hated it. Then his grandmother found a full sixed , traditional (not cradle) swing and he loved it. It is possible that he grew into liking the swing, but it seemed like the big swing had him up so he could see and swang (swung?) him through a larger arc than the travel one did. I took the "evil travel swing" back and just used full sized swings from then on. All 3 of my babies have loved the big swings.
