1/2 cup crisco
2 cups flour
cold water, add a bit at a time until you can roll it out on a flour surface
salt and pepper
roll out about 1/4 in thick and cut in long strips and add to boiling water or chicken broth, cook at lease 15 minutes, dumpings will turn white ish and taste done.
Add cooked chicken (shredded) 1 cup milk and 1/4 cup butter to broth, season and eat,
