I was a monager at motherhood for years. I stopped several years ago but we had this "promotion" while I was there too. They are SUPPOSED to tell you that you will be sent an invoice after your free issue and that if you pay with a cc / debit card that it will automatically be charged if you dont cancel within 30 days. if you pay with cash you will be sent a subscription offer.

That is illegal and can get them into SERIOUS trouble. I would call the store manager or district manager if I were you.
