I had this problem too.....mine would stay asleep only if my arm was under him and I was laying there also. Alot of the time I just napped with him...and we co-slept at night too.....

I had a friend take the rail off her crib and sidecar it to her bed, that way it was kinda like co-sleeping but the child had their own space.

We are just getting our ds to sleep in his own bed in his room and he will be 3 tommorrow....we still lay in bed with him till he's alseep.
