the drying time was close to 20 minutes on medium heat. The middle layers are still "free" and get a bit bunchy but I take it out of the dryer and press it flat with my hands for a second and its back in flat shape. A straight line of sewing right down the middle part might hold it in place better and still keep the drying time low, its still "flappy".

I bet a suedecloth layer sewed on one side could make for a stay-dry flip insert. Or any cover insert, really.
