Re: subbing applecause for oil when baking
You can use any mashed fruit- I do applesauce, pear sauce, banana ect. If you have to use a lot it can make your recipe more moist ( My amish bread recipe calls for 1 cup oil per batch and it makes the bread really moist when I sub a whole cup so for anything over 1/2 cup I do the first 1/2 cup sauce then the rest oil. Things like waffles & pancakes it works awesome swapping it 1 for 1!
It's a great way to use up baby food too if you have some laying around!
