Another update-i never did an additional wash. Just didn't have time. But the smell has improved with each wash! Since using the penguin wash I have been using half tide and half planet. And a tiny splash of bleach. It's working out good for us. My flip prefolds have never been so soft!
Today my dd had a bad nose bleed at school. She got it all over her white shirt. They're currently soaking in with the sports wash in cold water. We'll see how it turns out!
