The smell of disposables in a diaper pail is awful! Stagnate poop!
A cd pail is has very little smell, if any as long as you wash within 48hrs and rinse off your poo diapers before tossing them into the pail. I will say, though that the inner material of softbums shells do tend to retain a little of that pee smell so I personally was never comfortable enough to just air out and reuse any of their shells before washing them.
