Re: Breastfeeding my 6 month old while pregnant?????
Pregnancy causes a hormonal reaction most of the time that is unavoidable and causes your milk supply to significantly decrease or for most women dry up completely. Usually starting at the second trimester-20 weeks. Some women can maintain the breastfeeding relationship and keep milk throughout the pregnancy. But it doesn't work on supply/demand anymore (nursing more wont make it increase) Then at the end of the pregnancy it changes over to colostrum. So you would probably find yourself needing to supplement with donor milk or formula until he is 12 months.
