My old OB said that Zoloft is the first med they try for a breastfeeding mom. Very safe. Lexapro is very common also.

The nurse prac at the ob practice, my old ob, the counselor they referred me to, and my son's pediatrician all refused to let me on Effexor, which I KNOW works for me.
