Re: How long did you breastfeed?
I had to stop cold turkey at 14 months but not by choice. It was due to the extraordinary amount of pressure I was getting from everyone. The Hubby being number one pressure maker. It was so bad that my marriage was in the brink of divorce. That's what happens when children grow into ignorant adults that think breasts are for the husband to enjoy and not to produce milk. I had no support from anyone IRL and it was an uphill battle from the moment The Kid turned one month (the maximum they think a child should be breastfed). I'm glad I lasted as long as I did and wish I was still BF since there are times that I know he would have benefitted from it. It hurts when you have no support system at all and those that are nearest and dearest to you are the ones causing you the most trouble.
Dear Baby in my Belly, Please come out. Seriously. It's like a 100 degrees here, IN CANADA. Your dad has taken to calling me puffy. I get that you're a dude and the last thing you want to do is leave a place you're going to spend the rest of your life trying to get back into, but enough. Your room is really cool, come out and see it. Sincerely, Love Mummy
