Yup, that tutorial is also posted somewhere here on this forum, & it has been invaluable in helping me learn how to construct soakers, shorties, longies, & skirties.

Like others, I started out with Paton's or Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool from the craft store, though you can get some inexpensive & somewhat softer/less pilly yarns for not much more money. I definitely recommend practicing w/ Paton's or the like (esp. since you can get the coupons) to start, though .
