My Mood:
Your midwife suggested that?

A bf baby is supposed to eat every 1 1/2-2 hours. Their stomachs are the size of their fist and bm is very easily digestible.....which is why it is the perfect food.

I never scheduled my children's naps, but they were always ready to go down about 1 1/2 hours after the first time they woke. Even if it was before they showed signs of being tired. When they shows signs they are already overtired. The next time they woke up it was about 2 hours later and that continued the rest of the day until bedtime.

Pumping about 45 min after the first morning feed is the best time to pump to acquire a supply for when you o back to work. You can also pump again in mid afternoon 45 min after that feed. Bf babies only need 3-4oz every 2-2 1/2 hours and the bottle feed should be very slow, the time should mimic the time it takes for them to nurse. The bottle automatically drains in their mouth and they end up drinking it too fast on accident b/c of it. Just stop and burp every ounce or so.
