It's not my husband at all, and actually he will be an oral surgeon so he really won't be doing kids visits. I said that because of what my sister's dentist told her and because where i was living in wisconsin it was really hard for any of my friends to find a dentist that would see them before they turned 3, unless they thought they had a cavitity. So if you're husband sees kids that's awesome! It is seriously my husband and I's pet peeve when dentist tell parents they don't need visits and they won't see them until they reach a certain age. It's dumb and it's not a decision made with the patients best interest at heart and not someone I would trust to work on my child and advise me on how to care for my child's oral health.

Maybe that's your dh, but that is not all family dentists, including my dh. He loves to see kids and encourages parents to bring them in just to play in the chair and get used to the sights and sounds.
