You would end up meeting the whole deductible. 4000 for you plus 4000 for baby. Does you ins pay 100% after that? If not you may want to set up an early payment plan or start paying into a separate savings account to help offset the cost. Also I'd you have a flex spending or healthcare savings account make sure you use those funds roo
