I'll bite even though this is a silly argument. For one you are comparing the cost of biodegradable diaper inserts to regular takes-hundreds-of-years-to-decompose disposables. The only biodegradable diaper that I know of are Abena Bambo and they come out to about $.36 each so around the same as the other biodegradable options.

I use Flip covers but stuffed with flats. I thought most people only used the disposable inserts for things like traveling or daycare. For some people money is not a factor at all so they don't care about the price of the biodegradable inserts. For those who care about the environment, the chemicals in disposables and their wallets washing and reusing cloth is not considered a waste of time.
