No. I think they are inappropriate and a completely unrealistic view of what a real woman looks like. I simply tell dd mommy doesn't like them. If other people want to let their kiddos play with them that is fine by me I simply dont want them in my house or to support Barbies. I saw a comparison once at the Science Museum in Boston comparing Barbies measurements to that of a real woman and if Barbie were an actual living person with those measurements she wouldn't be able to stand up, she wouldn't be able to physically support her own body weight based on her proportions. It has stuck with me and having battled eating disorders in the past and poor body image I don't want to endorse that body type as "ideal" or "perfect". I may be reading too much into a child's toy, but we are all entitled to our opinions. :-)
