We eliminated all red dye, but there are red foods, like tomato based and red fruit based foods that have natural color that are fine. Ketchup is a natural red from the tomatoes so that doesn't need to be eliminated. It made a big difference with my now 16 year old. It's tough, because there are so many things that you wouldn't htink have red dye in them. At 12, he would read the labels of everything to look for the dye
