Re: Diet changes to treat possible adhd?

We are going to try a 2 week elimination diet with both of the boys. Kearnan is almost 11 and high functioning PDD NOS, Tharen is 6 and as yet undiagnosed but suspected ODD/ADHD. We are going to try ultra strict, nothing but fruit, veggies and protein (no eggs, soy, dairy or gluten) and see how it goes. Does anyone know if tea and cocoa are allowed on the restricted diets? I am looking at some of the gluten free treats and want to be able to offer the boys some things they enjoy so they don't feel like the world is coming to an end. Chocolate almond milk, herbal teas and some of the gluten free treats using cocoa powder would really help ease this along.
