I've had two epidural births and 2 non-medicated natural births in a hospital.
I would recommend going natural for many reasons, but at the same time, I would not sugar coat things. my most recent birth was non-medicated but was EXTREMELY painful. My baby was 10lbs 7oz and his shoulders were stuck on the way out. I do feel that it was verging on traumatic because i didn't have any pain relief. But at the same time, I've never been more proud of any accomplishment or more relieved that my baby came out ok.
