I agree with most of the previous posts. You can find an OB or MW that you fele comfortable and just refuse all the invasive testing. I did do the GD test, but skipped anything else. They've just checked heartbeats, my BP, my iron a few times, and the fetoscope at 20 weeks. With my DD2, I didn't even have my first appt until 26 weeks and was past all the testing phases anyway. I do agree with you OP, that there are way too many false positives and anxiety that come with all the modern testing. I do feel that prenatal care is important, but you have to draw your own lines.
