I just wanted to add that at 35 years old you really should have some prenatal care. You are at a higher risk of having complications. I am not saying that to be mean either but it is true and despite your organic eating and good health it's still probably not a good idea to go without any prenatal care at all. If you are set on it then please at least educate yourself like some of the UC mamas do.

I think you can have the best of both worlds, you can find a midwife that's pretty hands off. You can even just ask her to show up for the labor and only help if you ask.
