Frankly, the zinc is why it works. I've found if I avoid fish oil and petroleum/petrolatum, it's fine. Non-zinc creams just can't do the job of a zinc cream.

I only use it every few weeks or months, but I've had zero issues. And I use MF and pockets, which are the most sensitive generally. I use just enough to cover a rash/problem area - very little.
