If he is sensitive to other types of diapers but not bamboo - then maybe synthetic fabrics are the problem. Most any type of "stay-dry" option will be some form of polyester.
Unfortunately, natural fabrics don't really feel dry because they are absorbent.
But as you can see by all of the PPs, there are lots of choices for Stay-dry toppers you could try.
