If the wool is a poor fit on your baby, no amount of lanolizing is going to prevent leaks thru the leg gaps.

I feel there is some particular type of wool used in certain machine knits (disana and sbish) that is glossier than other wools (aristocrats, kissas), which makes it harder to lanolize. agree with pp about havibg to lanolize multiple times...
