I'm so glad I'm not the only mama who's annoyed by her kids (sometimes)! I do the boring "yep" all the time! They ask questions they know the answers to, they repeat stuff, they milk jokes for every laugh. And I feel like a real jerk for this, but I hate when they remind me of things like I'm a child. My five year old said the other day, "Mommy, please make sure you don't forget Balon (his baby brother) in the grocery store. I'd hate for you to lose him." He said this in the same way we remind them not to lose the little toys they like to tote around when we go out. I know some may think that's cute, but in my mind I'm like, really kid? Cause I just forget my baby in random places alllll the time.
