Re: Update! What comprises "unnecessary" prenatal care?

I had a midwife with DS and we are using the same one for this pregnancy and she is very hands off and I love it.
*We did urinalysis at every appointment
*I had 1 u/s for dating
*She checked my iron levels 2x
*Blood work to find out blood type and rh factor
*Abdominal palpation
*Listened to baby heartbeat

Obviously I took prenatals and we monitored my diet to make sure I didn't develop PE since I was having a decent amount of protein in my urine.
Mama married to my soulmate and homebirth partner. I am a co-sleeping, , ing, babywearing, ERF, and delayed vaxing mama to two intact boys (6/2010) & (4/2013).
