Plus what they receive from extended family. Who are now mostly receptive to working from a very specific list.
As they get older (7 and 4 yr old's, ds) they ask for specific things. Rock climbing gear like dad, a particular lego set. And as it's something they REALLY want, they are super happy to receive it and don't go worrying about quantity.

Ooo I like this idea, UI was going to make him PJ's anyway so it didn't seem fair to count it as one of his main gifts. He's just getting to the stage where he likes to play simple games, like memory or match up. Thanks for the idea!
