So proud of your dh! My dh is from a similar culture where you are expected to care for all family members and until this year he has always had the weight of the world on his shoulders regarding his family. My mil blew up at him and said he had never supported or helped them and he hasn't spoken to her since ( it was untrue as I cannot count how much we have done for his family) but it really showed my dh the truth in that he needs to care for his wife and kids first , the family that he created.
