My Mood:
Bad constipation problems

I've been having BAD problems with constipation since becoming pregnant. I usually go about once a week now which is not enough. I have tried ducoset (sp?) and drink fiber everyday. Between my throwing up, nausea and constipation I have been miserable. Thursday I had not gone for a week and after dinner I was overcome with horrible pain. I couldn't handle it. I threw up and started bleeding. I was able to finally go but the cramps kept coming all night. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to lay down anymore and when I went to the bathroom I kept having "jellied" blood coming out. Nothing but that. It happened 5x and I ended up in the ER. They could not find anything but that I had burst a capillary on the wall of my uterus, I was extremely dehydrated and my heart was racing. They seem to think I have some irritable bowel issues and even mentioned Crohn's which scares me. I had no idea what it even was until I came home and looked it up. I actually have quite a few symptoms. Thankfully there has been no more blood but I am being sent to a G.I. specialist.

It has been 4 days since that incident and everyday I eat I dread because it doesn't come out... in fact I feel like I get sicker everyday. Food just disgusts me. Today it got bad again. It took me all day to be able to go (6am-7pmish) and it was torture. Pain, cramps, backache, nausea, ect. What scares me the most is if the baby could possibly be affected by all this. I am miserable and I don't know what to do. Has anyone been through this? How normal is it to be THIS miserable and this constipated and sick? Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?
