EI is great. They play, they talk, it's completely non-intrusive and if they decide that he's clearly communicating (even with a lack of words), then they'll tell you he's fine.
Depends on the state. Some states require pediatricians, some states you can call yourself. It sounds like Indiana might be a 'call yourself' office.
I would do it. If they need help, then it's best to get the help before age 3. There's no reason not to do it - I promise, all they do is play with you and your kid.
