Re: Does measuring big always mean big baby??
I measured big with my last 2 babies, they were 10 lb 12 oz and 10 lb 13 oz! The doctor could tell they were going to be big (let me clarify; this is two different pregnancies, not twins!!!!). But the last week or so I started measuring normal again as the baby dropped into my pelvis.
Big babies ARE easy to push out though, in my experience... My first baby (9 lb 7 oz) I only pushed 15 minutes, and then with all 3 subsequent babies I've never pushed for more than 5 minutes, and didn't tear either. (Unmedicated birth is best so your pushing is effective though).
Anyway, don't worry too much; those measurements aren't always accurate depending on baby's position, etc.
