Both my kids have ties. My son has a gap in his teeth and im sure dd will too. I had one but it was fixed with a reatainer that had a clasp that went around the upper 2 teeth. It hasnt affwcted speech for me or ds. What did affect my spech a little was my tongue tie. Ds has it and i didnt know until later. I had dd's clipped but it has since grown back. I wont do clip it again.
