The "science" behind juicing is that you remove all the fiberous parts or what needs to be digested and broken down. Juice is absorbed as is basically, the body doesn't need to work on breaking it down or altering it. This gives the body the ability to work on just cleaning your body and getting out toxins.

Thats not to say that throwing back a few green smoothies won't do a great deal for your body, but you wouldn't get the same exact benefits. I bet it would still do some good cleasing in your body.
