Tommee Tippee didn't work for us, although I hear so many raves about them. We ended up using Dr. Browns, which have a much smaller nipple and DS seemed to be able to work it better without gagging. We used the stage 1 nipple until just recently. There are several pieces to wash but I don't find it to be that huge of a deterrent. I introduced a bottle at 6 weeks in preparation to go back to work, but I read on LLL website that there is an ideal time (I think 4 weeks) to first introduce an artificial nipple.
Wife. Midwife. Mother. Not necessarily in that order depending on the day!
