Re: Thanksgiving menu
Appetizers - Grilled shrimp skewers, vegi tray, and deviled eggs (which really takes the place of lunch since we'll have a late breakfast and not eat again until late afternoon).
Dinner-
Turkey
Gravy
Cranberry Sauce
Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Stuffing (gluten free-already made the bread cubes and they are drying)
Popovers (rolls-gluten free)
Sweet potato Brulee
Parmesan roasted green beans
Salad
Dessert-
Gluten Free Pies
Sugar free banana cream
Sour cream apple strussel
and Reduced fat pumpkin.
We are doing a healthy thanksgiving. My mom and dad have high cholestrol and dad has high BP and is diabetic. Mom has dairy intolerance, and Dh has celiacs. Plus Mom, Dad and I are all trying to loose weight. So we are trying to make a special meal as healthy as possible.
