Health Canada says iron-rich foods are important around 6 months, as babies' stores from birth could be used up by then. My nurse practitioner was on the medical committee that formed the recommendations. She knows I am vegetarian and says that soft tofu and mashed beans/lentils are good for LO.
My daughter is ebf now,but we will introduce solids in several days, when she is six months old. She gets vitamin D, but no other supplements.
