I just stuck a Combi Coccoro, a Radian (I don't remember which kind we have; the 60 maybe?), and a Graco HBB in my mom's 2003 Escape. My eldest had to go on the outside, because there just wasn't enough space around her seat for her to get her hands in to buckle up. IIRC, Coccoros and Radians are about as slim as it gets; the front-to-back distance hasn't been a problem in the Escape, but then I normally drive a small sedan.
