Didn't read all the responses so I might repeat what others said. I am a rn but have never worked l&d. I work ER. My advice would be to speak with the educator on the unit where you will be delivering to make sure everything you want is within their policies. Doesn't have to be what they always do, just as long as it isn't something against their policies or whatever. And then I would have your OB write out orders for everything you want and sign it. Take those orders with you to your induction and make sure they are placed on your chart. The staff might not want to listen to your birth plan but they WILL listen to those MD orders!
