I would do it.
I decline most testing, but if there's anything that may require special attention - heart defect, etc - it's nice to know so that you and your provider can be prepared once the baby is born.
If you're planning on being in a hospital with a good NICU, it's not AS important, but again, being prepared is nice.
we never think it'll be our babies that are born with defects, but it happens.
