I try to stay away from cow's milk anyways (I've never tried goat). Even if calcium absorbtion is lower with soy milk, it's still more than you're getting from cow's milk. We are the only species that drinks another animal's milk.
With that said, DS has been on soy since he was an infant and is fine - and he can eat yogurt and cheeses without a problem. I've heard different people say in the last few years that too much soy can be bad for females (increase risk of cancer), but not quite sure all of the numbers are in. DS loves his soy milk, but only drinks it once or twice a day. Usually he drinks water and maybe juice - though that is kind of a treat. I drink almond milk; never found a taste for rice milk.
