I had a lump on my right breast for what seemed like ages. It was high up on my breast, I barely realized it was still breast! I would nurse on that breast and rub it, as well as rub it in the shower. It didn't seem to matter when I nursed, but I could tell a spot on my nipple wasn't "squirting" when I expressed, It eventually, with massaging loosened up and my milk was a bit stringy. It took a while but it eventually cleared out!
