I will openly admit I love our backpack harness. DS is 18 months old and fiercely independent but have some issues processing verbal commands/redirection when overly excited. As in he really and truly can't process it so he tries to retreat at times which means running away. His harness lets me let him safely walk and explore in areas where him running away could risk his life. I do have to say though he loves to walk on his leash with my husband while I walk the dog on his leash. Look at this kid on his leash, it's the best thing for him and he willingly puts it on. In fact he will grab the backpack to have me strap it on to communicate to me he wants to go walk. He seems calmer and more in control on it as well so the meltdowns don't happen nearly as often. Win win for all!

Married to my best friend, living the navy wife life, and loving every minute of being a SAHM to DS (born July 2011)!
