Always. Even if the parents say not to worry about it, I don't want my kid thinking he can go to someone's house, trash it, and leave. As soon as I start working on them with cleaning up their own toys at home (around a year, once they are capable of picking up an item and dropping it in a bin on purpose), we do it at other people's houses. My kids are young, so cleaning up is still a game, so its not usually a big deal (keeping their focus on cleaning up, that's a different story). I hope by the time they can "hate" cleaning up toys, it's just habit to do it.
