I agree. I think society thinks of 4 as a lot. We have 4 and one on the way and I hear all of those comments from people, too.
I have friends and a cousin who have 7 children each. I thought that was a lot, but I had all of my cousin's children over the other day and they were great. Dh's mom is one of 11 siblings and my mom is one of 9. Dh and I both have 3 siblings each, so on the "smaller" side compared to our moms' families. We LOVE having 4. I'm busy, but not overwhelmed and my kids all get lots of special attention. Can't wait for #5 to make his appearance.
