Re: Top ten reasons not to circumcise your son

I couldn't have asked for a better, unplanned, circ for my son.

And yes, that would be very hypocritical of you. I would also speak up if I saw someone being misinformed. I never said that it doesn't hurt any baby. I simply stated my son slept through it and then was accused of falsifying, exaggerating, and not knowing what I was talking about. Most mom's don't know the facts, so this thread is AWESOME for them, but it's not horrible to toss in a story every once in awhile of someone who had a good experience.
In all of the reading & research I have done over the past 3 years that I became interested in this topic, I have never heard of any procedure that injects the anesthetic into the abdominal/pelvic region.. let alone anywhere but the penis. I am definitely confused. Given how locals work, that makes no sense.

Would you mind sharing a little more about your personal experience?
How old was your son, what medical complication did he have, what kind of specialist did his procedure, and what technique did they use? Of course you don't have to if you consider all that to be too personal, but I am defnitely intrigued and I assume since you were given pamplets you have more info to share other than you used a super expensive specialist from 2 states away....
