It makes me really sad/mad whenever a dr treats a mom like this. You aren't saying no to all vaccines . . . just wanting to delay or do a modified schedule. I was really really nervous when I took my DD in for her first ped appt because I knew this issue was going to come up. To make things harder, my DH feels strongly about getting our DD vaccinated. I, on the other hand, would keep her from getting any vaccinations because I don't like the concept behind it all. I ended up compromising with a delayed schedule. What I am most worried about is side-effects so she actually did get her hep B but I'm delaying the DTap at least until she is 6 months. Everyone's different and lots of people have strong opinions on both sides. Do what you feel is the best for your kids.
